How Conroe Junior Music Club was started
Conroe Junior Music Club, is a chapter of the Texas Federation of Music Clubs, an affiliate chapter of the Texas Federation of Music clubs and the National Federation of Music clubs.
Conroe Junior Music Club was established in 2004 by Paula Waltz Harrison with a starting membership of two members. The club was located in Conroe, Texas and later moved the meetings and Gold Cup Festival to The Woodlands area.
The mission of this club is to develop and maintain high musical standards, aid and encourage musical education, and the promotion of American music and American artist. The club also educates young students in the art of performance and provides them with performance opportunity through recitals, community services, competitions, which offers more than $750,000 award prizes on the local, state and national level. The Conroe Junior Music Club also holds the Gold Cup Festival which is a National and Texas Federation of Music event once a year.
Any person, musician or lover of music, who has an interest in the advancement of the mission of the Conroe Junior Music Club may become an active member upon the payment of such annual dues as prescribed by the State Federation and the chapter club.
